US upsets Germany, advance to finals of Women's World Cup 2015


The US won the much anticipated Semi-final bout against World No. 1 ranked team Germany with an emphatic 2-0 victory. The German's were seen as one of the main favourites for the title and going into this sensationally poised game against another strong team the US,were somewhat the favourites to go through.

But football has a way of surprising us they say as Carli Lloyd and Kelly O’Hara turned the tables on Germany in the much anticipated semifinal showdown. The US really came prepared for the Germans and reaped the rewards they derserved. After the game USA manager Jill Ellis said ;
"It's not about the system. It's about the players on the field. They did a great job," . "They played their hearts out with guts tonight. I'm so, so pleased for them. We prepared very, very well. We watched a lot of film and broke it down, but the players executed. That's the key."
The US would now the winner of the other Semi final game between the Current World Champions  Japan and England later today.
