Good News NPFL fans: NFF to Telecast all NPFL matches live soon

The Nigeria Football Federation first Vice President Mr Seyi Akinwunmi has revealed that the Federation is already making plans to have all games in the country's major Professional  football league shown live on television. Akinwumi, explained that live televised league matches would reduce the low level of performance by some referees.

Meanwhile General Secretary of the NFF, Mohammed Sanusi has assured that anyone found guilty in the alleged match fixing in the Week 9 match of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will be punished. He gave the assurance at a press conference at the Abuja National Stadium yesterday, said that the allegation will not be swept under the carpet, as an investigative panel had already been set up to look into the allegation.

According to Him: "We will get to the bottom of this issue. I promise you, the outcome of the investigation will be made known."
Football governing body, FIFA had questioned the performance of the match officials in the game between FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Sharks of Port-Harcourt and has allegedly instructed NFF to investigate same.
Similarly, the Chairman of League Management Company (LMC), Shehu Dikko said: "We at the league have taken it [the allegation] seriously and if anyone is found guilty, he will be punished."
He however declined to give details of the investigation, maintaining that such action could undermine the investigation process.
