Jose Mourinho has all but accepted the departure of Club legend Petr' Cech and thus wants another stopper of proven quality to provide the much needed competition for Club first choice Thibaut Courtois.
Chelsea are set to move for Stoke’s Asmir Begovic – and that will spark a goalkeeping merry-go-round.
Bosnia international Begovic has just one year left on his deal and that will put his value at around £10.5million.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has accepted that Petr Cech will leave the club and wants another goalkeeper of proven quality to go alongside Thibaut Courtois.
Arsenal are also monitoring the situation with Begovic, even though manager Arsene Wenger has been impressed with his No.1 David Ospina.
Cech will not be short of offers when he decides where he will play next season. Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew would be interested along with Arsenal. If Mourinho fails to land Begovic, he could turn to Robert Green of Queens Park Rangers who is likely to leave Loftus Road.
