The Super Eagles of Nigeria, have been handed an easy 2018 FIFA World Cup second round opponent.
According to the draws that held this evening in Petersburg, Russia, Nigeria will play winners of first round tie between Djibouti and Swaziland.
It’s not only Nigeria that got such easy draws meanwhile as most of the Super power African teams, Cameroon, Cote d’ Ivoire, Ghana, Algeria, were also handed what looked like easy opponents.
Cameroon will play the winner of the first round tie between Somalia and Niger, while Cote d’ Ivoire will take on the winner of the first round tie between Liberia and Guinea Bissau.
Ghana was drawn against the first winner of the tie between Comoros and Lesotho. Algeria, the top ranked African team, will play winner of the first round tie between Tanzania and Malawi.
Egypt is drawn against the winner of the first round tie between Chad and Sierra Leone.
Rising Africa power house, Cape Verde, is drawn against the winner of the first round tie between Mauritius and Kenya. Senegal is drawn against winner of the first round tie between Central African Republic and Madagascar.
Mali will play the winner of the first round tie between Eritrea and Botswana, with Guinea playing the winner of the Gambia and Namibia.
But some second round teams have known their opponents as they will not have to wait for the first round winners. In these categories is Morocco, which will play Equatorial Guinea, as South Africa is drawn against neighbours, Angola. Sudan is pitied against Zambia, while Togo will play Uganda.
Benin Republic second round foe is Burkina Faso, while Gabon has Mozambique hurdle to cross. Libya has Rwanda to contend with.
All the 25 second round winners will be drawn into five groups of four teams each with the group winners qualifying for the World Cup proper.
