Liverpool sign Awoniyi as Everton consider late Obi move

Liverpool have completed the signing Nigerian teenage forward Taiwo Awoniyi on Monday after fending of interests from porto and monaco. He was immediately sent out on loan by his new team to the German second division side FSV Frankfurt.

Awoniyi who was brought in from the Imperial Academy in Nigeria cost the English giants around 400,000  and was delighted as well as being very optimistic by the move

"This is the biggest club in the world and I'm privileged to be here," Awoniyi told Liverpool's website.
"I'll try to develop myself very well so that when I come back to Liverpool I'll be able to add value to the team.
"When I'm in the red shirt, I will always give my very best to make the fans happy."

Awoniyi is highly rated especially in the African Nation and a current Nigeria Under-23 international. He has also played for the Super Eagles at the Under-17 and Under-20 World Cups.

Meanwhile  on the blue side of Merseyside reports suggests boss Roberto Martinez is considering a late move for Mikel Obi.The midfielder was on the verge of joining Al Ain earlier in the summer only for the deal to be blocked by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho who considered Mikel a very important player in his squad for the season. The long serving midfielder meanwhile has been deemed surplus to requirements at the bridge and spending a lot of time on the club bench. Everton hope a deal for the Nigerian could be finalized therefore in earnest before the close of the transfer window in England.
