Kano Pillars Boss Okey Emordi under immense pressure
Okey Emordi feeling the pressure
Players and fans of NPL Champions Pillars are all demanding one thing at the moment, they want their Manager Okey Emordi booted out immediately as a result of the bad form of the team this season. The team lost its seventh game of the season against Rangers who are Emordi's former employers on Wednesday and thus dropped two places to ninth with 22 points from 15 matches. This sees them seven points adrift table toppers Sunshine Stars and there is a danger around the club that they might just miss out on their fourth consecutive NPL title, a feat they want to achieve.

A source close to the Club confirmed this to AfricanFootball.com saying;
"Pillars are under increasing pressure to do away with Emordi. Both the players and the fans want him out now," a source informed
"The players, for one, say they do not understand his tactics."
Thousand's of fans had already started boycotting home games to show their disgust at the club's season so far notably last weekend's game against Dolphins of Portharcourt. Emordi might soon be lined up for showdown talks with the hierarchy of the club to discuss the situation and if he survives, things have to get better or the experienced NPL gaffer might just be the latest to loose his job.
