Long term Liverpool and Tottenham target Konoplyanka agrees personal terms with Sevilla

Dnipro and Ukraine winger Yevhen Konopyanka has agreed personal terms with Spanish side and current UEFA cup holders Sevilla but the club has not reached an agreement on the transfer fee as announced by the Spanish club.

The record four time UEFA Cup winners who are bound to loose star striker Carlos Bacca were not able to make a move for Konoplyanka who had a deadline to agree and move to another club last week but confirmed last night that they were close to a deal. A statement on their website read:
"Sevilla FC have reached an agreement with the Ukrainian international Yevhen Konoplyanka, at the expense of passing the medical examination and that the final agreement with the Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk is closed."

Konoplyanka Sevilla bound!

Konoplyanka has been a target for English club's club's Liverpool and Tottenham for a while now but it seems both are about to lose out. He enjoyed a wonderful season last time out in the Ukraine league with his club Dnipro finishing the season strongly in third and also played an important role in Dnipro reaching the UEFA cup final where they lost to Sevilla.
Although he's out of contract, his club are due some sort of compensation fee due to the nature of his agreement with Dnipro.
