Gundogan signs new Borrusia Dortmund Contract

Contrary to earlier reports that Ikay Gundogan would leave Borrusia Dortmund this Summer, he has made an amazing turn around to pen a new two-year-contract with the Club. The Manchester United target was indeed on the verge of leaving Westfaledion at one point and even Dortmund sometime confirmed that Gundogan would not sign a new contract with the club but last week his agent and uncle, Ilhan Gundogan, admitted staying at Dortmund was "clearly an option again."

The 24-year-old midfielder is already looking forward to the new season under their new management.
"The first days of preseason are over and it's been fun to work with the coaches and my teammates," the Dortmund midfielder told the club's official website. "I'm happy that we finally have clarity and I can continue playing football for Borussia Dortmund. I'll turn my focus immediately to preparation – in August we want to attack fully again."
Sporting director Michael Zorc said: "We're pleased that Ilkay will continue to play for Borussia Dortmund. I'm confident that he will play his part so that we can reach our sporting goals."
Gundogan made 33 appearances for the German club last season after returning from a back injury which restricted the diminutive midfielder to just three bundesliga appearances in the 2013/2014 season.
Meanwhile Dortmund's main rivals over at Munich are also rejoicing and have confirmed the Capture of silky Brazilian winger and Chelsea target Douglas Costa.
