'Mikel Obi set for Al Ain move'

John Obi-Mikel has fallen down the Stamford Bridge pecking order and may move to the united arab emirates
John Mikel Obi is moving to the UAE

Super Eagles of Nigeria and Chelsea of England midfielder John Obi Mikel is set to United Arab Emirates club Al Ain ending his association with chelsea spanning 9 years. The 28-year-old is reportedly on the verge of the move which will see him join fellow West African and Black Stars of Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan at the club. The Ghanian let the cat out of the bag while on GhanaTV stating,

“I heard it this week that he has agreed terms with Al Ain and will most definitely be playing for us next season," Asamoah said.
"It’s great news for us because Mikel is a very good player and very experienced.

Chelsea had been wanting to offload Mikel for close to two years now but it seems the situation has just presented itself and Chelsea boss would just be more than happy to see the midfielder finally leave the club. Mourinho is eyeing Belgian and Zenith st. Petersburg midfielder as the perfect replacement for Mikel but according to reports in Italy yesterday, AC Milan might just be close to sealing a deal for the midfielder. Sad one for me and a shame because personally i just see this as another waste of African talent and youth. Mikel's still young at 28-years-old, then why the hell does he now move to the UAE. I'm very sure that top club's in England and abroad in the big leagues would still want he's signature. This is very similar to Gyan's situation why do African players love this?Money perhaps, dont really know.....what do you think?
