Radamel Falcao is expected to join Chelsea on a year-long loan from Monaco

Colombia forward Radamel Falcao anticipates that his future will be determined soon and showed a potential loan move to Chelsea should be possible. The Premier League champions are widely reported to already have an agreement with Monaco to sign Falcao for next season, albeit there has yet to be any official affirmation from either club.

Falcao scored just four times in 29 appearances for Manchester United , so the Red Devils chose not to take up a choice to sign the forward on a lasting arrangement. Chelsea chief Jose Mourinho, however, feels the Premier League did not see the best of the 29-year-old last season, and t he Blues need some up front support taking after the flight of Didier Drogba.

The topic of his future was put to Falcao when he addressed journalists after Colombia's triumph over Brazil at the Copa America in Chile, and the player recommended a determination was not far away.

"I am simply thinking about the Copa America and the squad, my staff are dealing with this," he said. Inquired as to whether the reports connecting him with a credit move to Chelsea were right, Falcao included: "It can be, you will know soon."
