Garba promises spectacle

Nigeria U20 coach Manu Garba believes their opening FIFA Under-20 World Cup match against Brazil at Stadium Taranaki will be a fantastic game to watch.

The Flying Eagles squad is considered one of the best crops of youth players the country has ever produced and there is much anticipation for the youth tournament to get under way.

Brazil have won the Junior World Cup on five occasions, but Nigeria are also considered among the favourites to win this year's edition.

"It will be a spectacle," Garba told journalists at the official pre-match press conference.

"Brazil have won the World Cup five times, but Nigeria are no pushovers either.

"I am here with the bulk of the squad who won the U17 World Cup two years ago. We are the youngest team in New Zealand, but we are a great side.

"We have the confidence and we will win.

"This is the most important match for us because a win will boost our morale as we plan to go all the way to win this tournament.

"We are at full strength and only need mother luck from God now.

"We are a very good team going forward and we will attack any team including Brazil with full force."
