Valdez is already off? replies Van Gaal's claim with cryptic tweet

Victor Valdes posted this collage showing all the Under 21 games he had played in after joining the club last season

Manchester United are ready to sell ex-Barcelona stopper  Victor Valdes after Louis van Gaal hit out at the goalkeeper's attitude by revealing he refused to play for the club's second team last season.
But Valdes has hit back at the claims with a cryptic tweet showing all the games he played in with the United youngsters and simply captioned it: '...? #Respect.'
The 33-year-old was left off United's tour to USA and worked with club physios back at Carrington on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Valencia and Turkish clubs are among those interested while United are considering free agent Sergio Romero as his possible replacement for the Spanish Goalkeeper.

'Valdes is not selected [for the tour] because he doesn't follow my philosophy. The philosophy is how you play football and how you maintain your match rhythm,' said Van Gaal.
'He refused last year to play in the second team. There are a lot of other aspects in the philosophy how you have to play like a goalkeeper at Manchester United. When you are not willing [to apply] the principles of that philosophy there is only one way, and that is out.
'For us this is a big disappointment. We thought he would follow our philosophy. It's a pity because we have given the opportunity to rehabilitate. Then we gave a contract. Then of course he is fit to play. When you're not playing in the first selection, you have to play in the second selection.'

Valdes, who joined United on an 18-month deal in January, made just two appearances for the club at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

Valdes put pen to paper on an 18-month deal in January but is now heading for the exit door after just seven months at the club

The United boss handed him his Barcelona debut in 2002 and the Spaniard cited the presence of Van Gaal as one of the main reasons why he decided to join United in January.

'I can already see this is a very special club,' Valdes said after putting pen to paper.
'I worked with Louis van Gaal during my time at Barcelona and to have the opportunity to work with him here at Manchester United is a dream come true.'

The highly experienced Spaniard, who was a regular member of Barcelona's first team before leaving the Nou Camp in 2014, originally travelled to England in order to recover from a serious knee injury.
