Robert Lewandowski: United target

Robert Lewandowski or Edinson Cavani for Manchester United? That's the question posed from reading this morning's papers and Sergio Ramos is staying at Real Madrid....

  PSG 'AGREE' DI MARIA DEAL
French paper Le Parisien says Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria has told the Ligue 1 giants that he wants to join the club this summer.
PSG boss Laurent Blanc is a big admirer of the Argentina international and talks between the clubs are reportedly going well with a £42.8m fee likely to be agreed.

UNITED STRIKER HUNT
After wrapping up the signings of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, Louis van Gaal will now turn his attention to adding a striker to his squad and depending on which paper you read depends just who is believed to be his top target.
The Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail reports Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, 26, is at the top of United's list, while the Daily Express and The Sun, like The Guardian yesterday insist that Edinson Cavani is the man Van Gaal wants.
The Daily Star also goes for Cavani, but suggest Van Gaal is keeping tabs on Tottenham's Harry Kane and Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller.
It really does seem like guess work.
Meanwhile, the general consensus of a lot of the papers is that Angel di Maria is on the way out at Old Trafford.

RAMOS CANNOT LEAVE REAL
According the Marca Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has suggested Manchester United defensive target Sergio Ramos cannot be sold.
The pair's relationship is however at a very low ebb, but Perez who yesterday saw Iker Casillas leave the Bernabeu is now looking for someone to step into the goalkeeper's shoes and Ramos appears to be the man. The Real supremo is reportedly prepared to offer Ramos the captain's armband in a bid to keep the 29-year-old out of the clutches of United.
If that happens then United are unlikely to want to enter into negotiations with Real over David de Gea, but they then will take the risk of De Gea leaving on a free next summer.

DE BRUYNE TO CITY...AGAIN
Man City have been linked with Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin de Bruyne again, in fact it's the 54th time this summer the papers have the former Chelsea man down to join Raheem Sterling at The Etihad.
It's the Telegraph, Express and Mail banging the De Bruyne drum this morning...yawn.
