NFF vs Keshi final Verdict: Big Boss Fired!
Super Eagles Head coach, Stephen Keshi sacked
Nigeria's Football Federation says it is terminating the contract of national coach Stephen Keshi in the midst of his Ivory Coast job application saga. It would end a turbulent association with the "Big Boss" who guided Nigeria's Super Eagles to a memorable Africa Cup of Nations Victory in 2013 in South Africa.
The Nigeria Football Federation's official board of trustees said late Saturday it discovered Keshi to "not have the necessary commitment."
Keshi a month ago told a disciplinary Committee of the NFF that his name was submitted for the Ivory Coast coaching occupation by a European specialists without discussion. The 53-year-old tactician had threatened to leave in the past and was let go in 2014 and reinstated strictly with a presidential mediation. He had returned on a match-by-match bargain and inked another two-year contract only three months prior.
The current NFF Technical director Amodu Shuaibu who just resumed his job will take over the team in a temporary capacity and is to be assisted by Salisu Yusuf
