On the 24th of June, Argentine Scientist Santiago Lopez Menendez was kidnapped in Nigeria by some armed men, he has however been released and revealed he has Leo Messi to thank for that as well as the group of Kidnappers going easy on him because of the Barcelona Superstar.....Give me some Messi magic!lool
The Kidnappers thought he Santiago was an American and he thinks that was the main reason they were initially hard on him, being unable to communicate with the Kidnappers who spoke no English he resorted to shouting Messi! Messi! Messi! that was when they understood he was Argentine.
The Scientist revealed that afterwards his treatment improved massively at the hands of the Kidnappers stating also "who doesn't appreciate the genius, Messi?"
Menendez has however been released after a ransom was paid on 27th June and he's brother Jorge could not hold his joy stating "Tell them to thank Messi his name is what saved my brother's life".
