Done Deal: Real Madrid resign Lucas Vasquez from Espanyol

Real Madrid have exercised an option to buy back Lucas Vasquez who left the club 12 months ago from Espanyol. He has been handed a 5-year-deal at Bernabeu which he signed.

Espanyol were prepared to sign Lucas but Real Madrid have paid the necessary One Million Euros to bring him back to the club. A statement from Real Madrid read:
"Real Madrid CF has exercised their buy-back contract rights over Lucas Vazquez in the existing agreement with RCD Espanyol.
"The player will remain linked to our club for the next five seasons."
Lucas, a Real academy product, scored three goals in 33 league appearances for Espanyol in his debut season in La Liga.
His return follows the signings of Brazilians internationals Casemiro and Danilo from FC Porto.
