Today's Transfer Gossip

United want Ramos

Man United get ballsy and demand Sergio Ramos for David de Gea, Victor Moses does not fancy Stoke and more...

 LEICESTER WANT NZONZI
Leicester are ready to table a £7million bid for Steven Nzonzi. The Stoke midfielder has one year left on his deal at the Britannia and has made no secret of his desire to play European football. He has already been subject of failed £3million bid from Sevilla, but Leicester are ready to blow the Europa League winners out of the water, according to The Telegraph. Not sure Leicester are quite what Nzonzi has in mind, but God loves a trier...

LIVERPOOL CALL AA
Liverpool are among a group of clubs to have approached Aymen Abdennour, according to the Monaco defender's agent.
There is plenty of Premier League interest in the 25-year-old, but Abdennour's representative has named the Reds in a group of clubs not at all plucked out of thin air as having registered their interest.
"There are lots of big clubs that are interested in Abdennour," Abdelkader Jilani said.
"There are clubs who have approached us and who will enter into contact with Monaco. There is AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Liverpool.
"I don't think that Monaco will prevent Aymen from leaving."

SCHWEINI IN, DI MARIA OUT
It would be pretty much the best deal in the world ever. German newspaper Bild claim that Bayern and prepared to offer Bastian Schweinsteiger PLUS CASH for Angel Di Maria. Which would be just sodding brilliant.
Thus, we are choosing to ignore reports in Spanish newspaper Sport that Barcelona are keen on bringing Di Maria back to La Liga. They claim that Di Maria is desperate to leave United and could be lured to Barcelona by his good friend Lionel Messi. There's just the small matter of a transfer registration ban...

YOU WANT DE GEA? GIVE US RAMOS.
'MANCHESTER United are ready to play hardball with Real Madrid and demand a straight swap deal involving David de Gea and Sergio Ramos,' claims an 'exclusive' in the Daily Star. That would be pretty ballsy from United, with around £20m difference in Madrid's valuations of the two players. But apparently, Old Trafford chief executive Ed Woodward 'will not be bullied'. Like we said...ballsy.
Apparently United will make De Gea play the final year of his contract rather than selling him for just £20m. At 29, Ramos has no sell-on value so United are understandably reluctant to pay £40m for a player who describes himself as "always relaxed". The suspicion still lingers that Ramos is simply flirting with United to get himself a new contract at Real Madrid.

BEGOVIC FOR MOSES? MOSES NOT KEEN.
The consensus seems to be that Chelsea want Asmir Begovic (for about £8m) and Stoke want Victor Moses on a permanent deal, but The Guardian says there is a fly in the ointment: Moses does not fancy it.
Moses is 'understood to be unsure over a return to City and is instead considering a number of other options, both in the Premier League and abroad'. Basically he thinks he's better than Stoke. We are inclined to disagree.
