Sui Weijie: "I've made a terrible mistake"
A Chinese goalkeeper has been fined 50,000
yuan (about £5200 depending on exchange rates at the Bureau de Change)
by his club after conceding a goal while taking a water break.
The incident occured during a Chinese Super League match in which Chongqing Lifan conceded a freekick on the edge of their box against relegation rivals Liaoning.
Where many would consider this a dangerous situation, Sui Weijie
took the opportunity to stand to the side of his goal and take on
fluids, as drinking water is referred to in footballing terms.
As you will have observed in the above video, Liaoning take advantage
of this rather embarassing lapse in concentration and score.
Weijie's desperate attempts to prevent the goal amounting to standing
there and watching it happen, reacting in the same way someone might if
they saw a car roll down a hill, realising just as the number plate
disappeared out of view over the edge of a hill that they'd been the one
that had forgotten to apply the handbrake. 
Weijie's team-mates were understandably disappointed by the goalkeeper's actions as it meant that a 1-0 lead turned into a 1-1 draw.
Worse than making his friends (if he can still call them that) upset, the club has gone several steps further and are believed to be considering suspending the poor goalkeeper as well as fining him.
Weigie said:
"I made a terrible mistake in Sunday’s game and let go a full three points. I won’t repeat the same mistake and will never lose concentration."
