Yesterday night when the Spanish transfer window was minutes away from closing an apprehension on the submission or non-submission of the transfer paperwork started concerning David De Gea's protracted move to the Bernabeu and later on after the window had closed it was revealed that Spanish goalie's deadline day move from Manchester United to the Galactico’s was in danger of collapse in a very bizarre paperwork mar.
Real are locked in talks with Spanish football authorities and FIFA amid reports they failed to submit their paperwork on De Gea by the recognised midnight transfer deadline in Spain. But this morning the Real faithful including the Spanish press are not really happy of the current situation and are really coming down hard on Club president Florentino Perez. Why did he not make the move earlier? Seems to be the famous question on everyone’s lips.
It’s a very understandable question though but i suspect Madrid leaving it late was kind off a tactic concerning the price but concerning that and the situation it looks as though it might all go down for nothing and backfire. But also its a very bad situation for a player especially considering he already had his mind on a new start, a new journey and also this is somewhat of a dream move for him...Its really a very delicate situation and needs to be sorted out the right way.
Manchester United and Real Madrid had agreed a £29 million deal for goalkeeper De Gea to move to Real for £22m, with current no.1 Keylor Navas valued at £7m moving the other way.
According to United sources, they claim to have submitted on time their paperwork with regard to the release of De Gea's player registration, as well as the relevant documents for the transfer of Navas.
United submitted all the paperwork and documents to FIFA's International Transfer Management System (ITMS), a software programme onto which the buying and selling club must upload the required data with regard to transfers. Real now face an anxious wait to discover if their long-running pursuit of De Gea has been sabotaged by their own incompetence, namely their failure to submit the required information on time. But both clubs must now wait to see if Real, who were last night locked in a desperate battle with Spanish authorities to push through the deal, can claim De Gea as their player, or whether he must stay at United for now….desperate times for Madrid fans..
Meanwhile it’ll be worthwhile to note that if it was the EPL this kind of deal would be given some extra time to be done but that kind of time has never been handed to any club by Spanish authorities on transfer deadline day. Real Madrid have to really make their case to FIFA and the Spanish authorities for this to happen..fingers-crossed lads.
