Spanish club Valencia has announced the appointment of former Manchester United and Everton player Phil Neville as their new assistant coach. Neville would be No.2 to current Valencia boss Nuno Espirito with the club looking t build on their fourth place finish last season in La Liga.
Neville who is now 38-years-old was assistant manager at Manchester United and follows his former Manchester United boss Moyes who is now currently coaching Real Soicedad to Spain.
“Phil Neville has great experience at the top level of competition, but above all he has knowledge and values that fit perfectly with our team and our club," Nuno said in a statement on Valencia's website.
"He has always been a team player, and our philosophy is based on teamwork. We are – and want to continue to be - a group. I am convinced that he is going to help us a lot.”
