Today's Transfer Gossip

Benteke celebrates a goal during an Epl match for club Aston villa with teammate Tom cleverley
Tottenham want Benteke too!

Liverpool to sign Clyne, Adekanye and Augustinsson, Spurs use Adebayor to get Benteke, Begovic to Chelsea...

LIVERPOOL TO SIGN CLYNE AND TWO OTHERS
The imminent signing of Nathaniel Clyne by Liverpool is no secret, but the Daily Star add two other names to the mix. They claim Brendan Rodgers is eyeing a triple swoop, although they basically seem to be taking the individual rumours from other outlets.
The two players in question are Barcelona's Bobby Adekanye and Ludwig Augustinsson of FC Copenhagen. We'll admit to knowing very little about either. To the internet!
Adekayne is 16, and was born in Nigeria. His parents moved to Netherlands when he was young, and therefore he qualifies as a Dutch international. PSV and Ajax are both interested in signing the winger, but it is Liverpool who are thought to have nudged ahead in the race.
Augustinsson is a Swedish left-back who is 21. He only joined Copenhagen in January this year from IFK Goteburg. He has already received two international caps, and is part of the Sweden U21 side that will try and win the European Championships against Portugal on Tuesday.

SPURS TO USE ADEBAYOR TO GET BENTEKE
To the Daily Mirror now, who claim that Tottenham will aim to land Christian Benteke from Aston Villa by offering Emmanuel Adebayor as bait.
The widespread assumption is that Liverpool will be the favourites to land Benteke should he leave Villa Park, but there aren't many clubs who need a striker more than Spurs.
Not quite sure if someone needs to have a word with Villa, but this is a deal in which they would lose their best player and be lumbered with Adebayor. Doesn't that qualify as lose/lose?

CHELSEA WANT BEGOVIC AS BACK UP
It would seem odd for Chelsea to allow Petr Cech to leave Stamford Bridge without having a replacement lined up, and it seems that they are moving quickly to get something sorted.
The Daily Mail (and others) report that Stoke have already been contacted about the availability of Asmir Begovic, with Chelsea making a £6m bid for the goalkeeper. Stoke are reported to want a figure over £8m, which shouldn't be a problem for Chelsea.
Begovic will be offered a deal to double his wages at Stamford Bridge, but one can't help feel sad when a decent goalkeeper moves on the understanding that he will be a reserve option.
