Diego Maradona running for FIFA presidency
Argentine Soccer great intends to run for the Presidency of FIFA according to Uruguayan author Victor Hugo Rosales. Maradona who is a very strong critic of FIFA told local radio station he was enjoying the crisis engulfing the world football governing body. Sepp Blatter has since resigned the presidency
although he remains in the post pending a timetable for a new election which is likely to happen in December or early next year and journalist and writer Morales says Maradona wants it made public that his name will be on the ballot paper.
"I am a candidate were the words Diego Maradona used to answer me when i consulted him about the normation for the presidency of FIFA."
