Today's Transfer Gossip Column

Manchester United to offer £25m for Sterling, Arsenal want Bacca and Kondogbia, Falcao to Chelsea, Real make €60million bid...

ARSENAL (AND EVERYONE ELSE) EYE BACCA
Fresh from his match-winning performance in the Europa League final, it seems Carlos Bacca has half of the continent on his tail.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola claims Arsenal have been watching the Sevilla striker, who they claim could cost around £15.8million.

Reports elsewhere suggest Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Roma, AC Milan, Napoli and Borussia Monchengladbach are also tracking the Colombian, though his agent has suggested Serie A as his most likely destination.

REAL PERSISTENT OVER VERRATTI
Despite PSG's insistence that Marco Verratti is not for sale, Real Madrid have returned to Paris with an improved offer of 60million euros, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Real's interest pre-dates the appointment of Rafael Benitez, but the new coach has given the green light for club to continue their pursuit of the Italy midfielder, who would be offered six million euros a year, if PSG can be persuaded to sell.

The same paper also claims Roma are willing to sell Gervinho and replace the former Arsenal flop with either Juan Cuadrado or Nani.

Nani has been linked with a £7million move to Inter over recent days, but it is claimed Roma's Champions League status makes the Italian capital a more attractive proposition to the United winger.

NO DANTE DEAL
In what will undoubtedly be headlined a 'BLOW TO MANCHESTER UNITED', Dante has reaffirmed his commitment to Bayern Munich.

The defender told the Bundesliga website that 'it can hardly get any better than' Bayern and added: "I enjoy every day here." Well, you would, wouldn't you...

UNITED TO BID FOR STERLING
They call it a 'transfer-window arms-race'; the Daily Mirror have gone rather bombastic in their assessment of the Raheem Sterling situation. And they say this arms race (for surely it should have no hyphen) will be triggered by a £25m bid from Manchester United for the Liverpool winger.

Clearly that will not be enough, with Manchester City in a position to double that offer, should it be required. The Mirror say that Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also 'monitoring developments'. Frankly, the idea that Sterling is good enough for Real Madrid or Bayern Munich is laughable.

KONDOGBIA TO ARSENAL (AGAIN)
Arsenal have been linked with Monaco defensive midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia since all of this was fields. This latest report in the Daily Mirror says that the Gunners will rival Inter Milan for the £25m-rated Frenchman, who was impressive as the principality club put the Gunners out of the Champions League.

The Daily Mail claims that Manchester City are also interested in the France international, along with Barcelona midfielder Alex Song, who spent last season on loan at West Ham.

FALCAO ON WAY TO CHELSEA
This has been bubbling along for some time but now the Daily Star have claimed that 'CHELSEA are closing in on a loan deal for Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao'. They quote a Chelsea source as saying: "Talks have been going well and Jose is still a big fan of Falcao, despite the difficult time he had at United. It looks like the deal is going to happen."

Possibly going out of the Chelsea door will be Cuadrado (that went well) and Oscar, who has never quite convinced Jose Mourinho with his spindly frame.

AND THE REST
Free agent striker Andre-Pierre Gignac will wait until West Ham appoint a new manager before deciding which Premier League club to join this summer.
